Hello old buddy.
Where have you been?
Posted by Volken_Grudge_XL on 7th Mar 07
this track doesn't look too bad, actually. nice work with the textures, Yamada :-)
Posted by sjampo on 9th Mar 07
this track uses the same folder as the original one...maybe its better to rename this track folder.
Posted by Yamada on 9th Mar 07
Hello guys, and long time Ricky :) Thanks for comments.

Exactly, as I put in readme, this one overwrites the old one. I just thought it's not worth keeping 'cuz it's not so different.
Please be careful of that.
Posted by arto on 9th Mar 07
It's different enough to cause incompatibilities in multiplayer, I think?
Posted by hilaire9 on 9th Mar 07
hey Yamada, good to see you back.
I overwrote the old Sports Shop with
this new version. The overall look of
the track is improved and the AI is
much better. I don't know if there are
problems racing online (one player has the
old version, another the new one).

In my experience the two different tracks can co-exist like parallel universes until a car does something that would be immpossible in the "other" track. Then the wormhole collapses and the person with the track that had it's laws broken crashes.
Posted by Aylown on 10th Mar 07
Incorrect Dylan

The person who broke the laws of the other universe is the one who crashes

I mean,this track could co-exist...

The Visiboxing,track zones,.W file,pos nodes

Are all the same

The Difference in Floor grip wouldnt stop them from co-existing

The only thing that doesnt allow that is the different A.I Noding

When a person go out of the racing line of one,but stays inside of another World,it crashes, badly

Better to rename to Sports Shop 1.1
Posted by hilaire9 on 12th Mar 07
Why rename this track. Yamada made this
track as an update. This is an improvement
to the original. There is no reason to race
the old one when you have this version.
Posted by felizuz on 12th Mar 07
Cool stretch. Best the rear yard is.
Posted by Dave_o_rama on 12th Mar 07
yea, this is obviously an improvement of
the normal Sports shop
so it overwrites the first sports shop
so all dl it so we can actually race on this track
witout any crashes
Posted by sjampo on 13th Mar 07
After i tried it, i can say that it does change the raceline. Therefor it is an different track. So it should have a different foldername, to avoid crashes.
Posted by arto on 13th Mar 07
I think so too... previous examples prove that changes like this tend to cause the track not to be played online, because you never know if everyone has the right version.

Just look at all the different versions of Sue&Joe, a fine track but with plethora of versions (albite not in RVZT).
Posted by arto on 13th Mar 07
Yamada, I think you gave invalid e-mail when submitting so I can not contact you directly. So I'm trying this way.

Sjampo has made a modification to your track so that the level name is sports1.1 and the .inf name modified accordingly. With those changes the level would not be mixed with the old version in online races.

If you agree with the changes then it can be put online. Of course if you prefer the current situation then what is here stays. The fastest way to contact me is to send me directly e-mail from Info/Contact menu, but of course I read these comments too.

Hey yamada. nice to see you again !

i want to show you a program i made for revolt called Phoenix R3. This program can add extra elements to the tracks and place the creations to the same level to the stock tracks.
If you want to know about, you can found me in the RRR Racing Forum.

About custom tracks... are you cooking more tracks ?
The reason to change the folder name of your update is just to preserve the older one. And this is important i think..

anyways all must remember, specially you Arto, each track it appear for revolt must have a unique forlder name. That is obvious.
Posted by arto on 13th Mar 07
Yamada has given permission for renaming. So please, if you have downloaded this version then redownload and install to have the correct level name.

It's a great track that deserves to be raced online now and forever after ;).

Thanks to Sjampo for work on renaming and Yamada for permission.

Hi all.

Well, I have little against Sjampo's suggestion.

I thought the old one is not worth keeping, but recent HDD may not mind, heh.

Anyway arto's desision is my desision. I know too little of online racing.

I hope everyone will accept.

Hey rst! That prog sounds cool. I'll check it.
But I'm not ready to start custom track building.. :(

I have some idea which must be cool if I can realize, tho, just need some time. ;)

I thought you stopped the work on Phoenix because Hil revealed it, RST?
Well, good to see you around here. And good to see that Phoenix is back.
