Re-Volt Race has been relaunched in new URL. Go check it out if you want to participate in some online competitions.

Just so no one freaks out, RVZT will be undergoing a server upgrade on Monday, January 18, at around 7PM CST. If my calculations are correct, that's around 1AM GMT on Tuesday. The server could be offline for up to 12 hours. Hopefully we'll see a bit of a difference in server speed, etc. Please report any resulting errors at the "Re-Volt Pub" as soon as possible. Thanks,

I hate calling out specific people, so please fix and upload your cars, if you are the person I am talking to. It is time for you to package cars like the rest of the people on this site. I apologize to all the new people if I sound upset, but I really am. We have gotten so many incorrectly zipped tracks and cars, it is getting annoying. If you do not package your submissions correctly, THEY WILL NOT BE APPROVED! There are posts on both ORP and the RV Forum explaining what is acceptable and how to package it. It also isn't that hard to look at a recent submission. You may or may not receive an email if your track/car is declined. If you don't see it approved within a week, expect it to have been denied. Please, please, please remember to upload a 256x256 px image of your car or track when you upload the file to RVZT. If you do not upload a matching GFX file, your track or car may not be approved. Thank you.

For some reason, the server is not allowing users to upload tracks that are larger than 2 MB. If your track.zip is larger than 2 MB, and you cannot upload it, please post a link to the zip file in the Re-Volt Pub Forum. Thanks.

If you submit a track without a valid contact e-mail, then the track simply won't be approved if there is any question I need to ask about it or if there is something that should be done to it before it can be approved.

I rarely have time to start fixing the tracks beyond simple renaming and rearchiving, so rather than try fixing non-trivial issues I will mail the author. If there's no valid e-mail I will simply reject the track.

There's been some cases like this... if you don't give a valid e-mail, do not wonder if the track won't appear.

Keep up to date easily of new submitted cars, tracks and comments by using RSS. In the left you see an orange icon next to "Latest tracks", "Latest comments", and "Latest Cars". It is a direct link to RSS feed.

Just a reminder:

when you submit your tracks/cars please remember to give a real e-mail address. If there is a problem or a question to ask before your upload can go online, you will be contacted to that e-mail.

If your upload does not appear online and you don't hear anything about it, the most likely reason is you have given invalid e-mail address when submitting.

Logging in is required to post anything to the site because of the spamming problems.

I don't like this solution so I will try finding another way, but for now this is the way it is.

Due to the problems with spamming bots, posting replies to news requires you to be logged in. Being logged in is not required when posting replies to tracks or cars because the spammers have not targeted those yet. This is subject to change of course if spamming moves into those sections.

If you have recently uploaded something and it does not show, please send again.

The server hosting RVZT was moved and in the process some recent files have been lost.

Please contact the admin with your e-mail address so that we can correct the tracks you just submitted before posting them (see Info -> Contact)

Raag, what are you trying to send to this site? They are not installable levels. As noted below TDF tracks are not accepted. Please see the other tracks on this site how they are expected to be packaged. Ask for help in the forum if you do not know how to change your tracks format.

Due to some enhancements to user security, you need to login again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This one is specially to you Michaelangelo, but to other beginning track makers also. Simple TDF tracks are not accepted anymore as submissions since they are unnecessary hard to install and use for racers. Please see for example RV Archive for tutorials how to create proper tracks.

The old RHQ tracks have been posted online, as I've been given a go ahead from Mike who graciously provides the hosting for the site. There are a couple of tracks missing, but hopefully I'll come across them too soon.

Please if you have any of the tracks listed here, send them over!

Thanks to the work of many people in Re-Volt community, I have obtained almost all the tracks that were missing after the "big crash". Only 2 tracks are missing anymore. If you have either of these two tracks please submit them to by going to Tracks/Submit:

Then there is always the project about getting those old RHQ tracks online, but that is mainly a question of space... I'll get back to sorting it out later when I have the time.

RVZT now takes also car submissions. Since space on the server is limited, please upload only new creations at least for the time being.

The car submissions will be handled by Pin and Manmountain. Big thanks to them for doing it.

If you so prefer, you can upload your tracks in RAR format here. Note however that they will be automatically converted to ZIP format so that all tracks are packed with the same archiver.

Currently most tracks are online for downloading again. Unfortunately I did not have a back up of all of the tracks, but I will be doing a list of the missing tracks in the next few days. I hope anyone who has a track that is missing from the site will upload it to me so that the archive will be complete! The old tracks from Re-Volt HQ are not online yet, but I hope to have them soon available also. A big thank you must be sent to these people who made this possible:

Seems like the track hosting problems will be solved soon. Steve Downey has secured a new site which is able to host about half the tracks, and another host has probably been found thanks to TheMeAndMe's fine contacts. I hope to have all resolved during the weekend.

Downloads do not work for the time being. The previous host of Steven Downey's site has been closed, and while the issue is resolved the downloads won't be available. Unfortunately the downloads were lost and while I have most of the tracks on my HD some might be lost.

I'll post more when I know more. You can send new tracks, I'll figure out some way to make new tracks downloadable.

ATTENTION: go through Submit track from Tracks menu when submitting a new track. The e-mail provider had problems with Re-Volt tracks for some bizarre reason. Thanks to hilaire9 for informing me about this.

Sorry for the spartan look, it was a quick job. Let me know if there is problems, I will continue to improve the track submitting when I have the time.

Notice the e-mail address where tracks are submitted has changed. This should solve the problems of e-mails not getting through due to lack of space.

Unfortunately my computer has become so unreliable I can not even boot it anymore. So, for now until I get a new motherboard and CPU, new track submissions won't have track images. This is because the scripts I use to generate them are on the malfunctioning computer.

EDIT: got a new computer system so all is fine and dandy again.

Now this site works a lot more like it should with Internet Explorer (for example the menus) thanks to Dean Edwards' excellent IE7 that patches Internet Explorer to be more compliant with web-standards. Of course I still recommend using Mozilla or Firefox or some other properly web-standards compliant browser.

If there is any problems, you don't like (or like) the change, please post a comment here.

In other news, since Revolt Downloads is going down and tracks seem not to come up much I intend to start taking track submissions directly soon. Since I am going to holiday that will happen in about 2 weeks.

16 tracks that were missing from the archives added today. Some are old, some older, some relative recent. The lego/extreme classification might not be correct in some of them, let me know if so.

Things should work now, but there might be some glitches since this is just a temporary hack (hopefully).

Fixed a bunch of missing old downloads that began with letters L and K. Thanks to Thomas for pointing this out.

Track download counter has been broken. I'll try fixing it as soons as possible.

Added a new feature, the 10 latest comments to tracks are shown on the left just under latest track additions for quick access.

If any more features are needed let me know by commenting to this topic.

The servers are being updated 14th of January, so RVZT will be down for a while. The site should be up in few days again, so no panic :).

As you might notice RVZT has gotten a new look. If the page looks garbled click here to use a look similar to the old one. If the page does not show correctly you should upgrade your browser as CSS standard compliant browser is required (Mozilla recommended, IE 6, Opera and Netscape 6 work also). Click here to see an example of what the page should look like with standards compliant browser.

I have also removed the Car listings at the same time from RVZT, as they never were intended to be here anyway (as can be deduced from the name of the site ;)). Visit for example Re-Volt Unlimited to download custom cars.

Now you get from the track listing page to the track comments page by clicking on the name of the track or it's image. To directly download a track from there click the download counter of the track. You can also now list the votes you've given to the tracks from the User menu (if you've registered and are logged in). Feel free to comment as the news section allows commenting now just like tracks.
